“A person in front of a forklift!” AI informs...FOCUS H&S unveils industrial safety solutions
13 June 2022

[Money Today Reporter Hyunah Cha] FOCUS H&S(FOCUS HNS (KRW 2,385 ▲5 +0.21%)), a company specializing in AI (artificial intelligence) control integration solutions, announced on the 13th that it will participate in the 12th International Logistics Industry Exhibition, ‘KOREA MAT 2022’ from the 14th to the 17th.
This exhibition is the largest event in Korea introducing transportation services and solutions, storage facilities, and solutions related to logistics automation. FOCUS H&S will introduce mobility AI industrial safety products, vehicle DVR (digital imaging device), and AVM (around view monitoring).
The forklift anti-collision system unveiled by FOCUS H&S uses AI to recognize pedestrians in real time. When a person approaches within a certain distance from the vehicle, an accident can be prevented by notifying the dangerous situation through a warning light or voice output.
The forklift collision prevention system has been attracting attention from the industry since the enforcement of the Severe Accident Punishment Act earlier this year. Large and small human accidents occur every day at industrial sites, and forklifts in particular have the highest rate of mechanical equipment accidents.
In addition, FOCUS H&S will also introduce 'UVMS', an intelligent video control software, and 'Eurachacha', a mobile app, at the event. UVMS, a Windows-based software, is an integrated platform that can control the current location and operation status of a vehicle in real time by receiving GPS and vehicle-related data through the LTE communication network. You can play the video recorded in the car or check the driving status with Eurachacha.
An official from FOCUS H&S said, "The remote integrated control system for LTE-based vehicles is the only one in Korea," and added, "By introducing AI to the logistics transportation system, safety accidents will be reduced and logistics will be managed more efficiently."
